There are projects you say yes to because they make sense on paper. And then there are the ones you say yes to because they make sense in your soul.

Queer the Runway was the latter.

When the opportunity came to be part of this celebration of LGBTQ+ creativity and community right here in Dallas — I didn't hesitate. As someone who is intentional about where I invest my time and energy, this was an easy decision. Joy, talent, authenticity, and fearlessness are the kinds of energy I want to be surrounded by and contribute to.

As a trans woman, finding spaces where you are not just accepted but genuinely celebrated is something you don't take for granted. Queer the Runway was exactly that kind of space. I felt welcomed, seen, and embraced for exactly who I am — and that means everything.

The runway. The photos. The people. All of it was a reminder of why community matters and why showing up for each other matters even more.

To everyone at Queer the Runway and everyone I had the pleasure of working with — thank you. This is exactly the kind of work I'm here to do.
